OpenAI announced major developments:
Support for plugins in ChatGPT. This will allow ChatGPT to access internet and up-to-date information, run computations or interact with third-party services in response to a user's request. Plugins unlock a whole range of new potential use cases. Users and developers can apply for alpha access here.
The first plugins have been created by Expedia, FiscalNote, Instacart, KAYAK, Klarna, Milo, OpenTable, Shopify, Slack, Speak, Wolfram, and Zapier. See this announcement from Zapier discussing the possible use cases of their ChatGPT plugin.
Open AI also announced their own plugins:
Web browser: gives ChatGPT access to internet and
Code interpreter: provides ChatGPT with a working Python interpreter. Supports uploading files to the current conversation workspace and downloading of the results. This will allow users to use ChatGPT for data analysis and visualization and other tasks.
OpenAI has open-sourced the knowledge base retrieval plugin which enables semantic search and retrieval of personal or organizational documents using natural language queries.
FlutterFlow, the no-code tool for mobile app generation, is launching an AI-based Text-to-App tool. You can apply for early access here.
Stability AI has launched Stable Diffusion Reimagine - a new Clipdrop tool that enables users to create unlimited variations of a single image without any complex prompts.
Adobe introduces Firefly, a generative AI model family, for generation of context-aware image, custom vectors, brushes, and textures from text along with text-based video editing capabilities.
Runway Research has announced Gen-2 - A multi-modal AI system that can generate novel videos with text, images, or video clips [Details].

Nvidia Canvas is an AI-powered painting app that transforms simple brush strokes into realistic landscapes using real-world materials such as grass, stones, clouds etc. It offers multiple styles to customize the generated image and supports layers and Photoshop export. The latest feature, released last week, includes 360° panoramas for creating wraparound environments that can be exported to 3D apps like Blender etc. It’s free to download and requires Windows 10 and Nvidia RTX GPUs.
Vowel
Vowel is an AI-powered tool for remote teams to host, share and manage video meetings. It uses AI to generate Action Items for participants and also to produce meeting summaries. Vowel also consolidates all Action Items from various meetings in one accessible location for efficient management.
PromptBase
PromptBase is a marketplace for DALL·E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and GPT prompts where you can sell your own prompts and receive payment via Stripe. This user made 500 sales on PromptBase.
